As title suggests really I'm looking to get the iPhone 6 64gb but don't know which tariff to go with ? Don't really want to pay any more then 40-45 a month so willing to pay for phone up front :)

Edit: found 1 on EE , 140 up front and 42 a month. unltd txts and minutes with 3gb data, that any good ?

I got a fantastic upgrade deal from EE:

iPhone 6 64GB SG - £99 up front
10GB ~ I tend to use 6-7GB
Un mins/text
Un 08 calls
£36 pm (was £49 but I get 25% loyalty discount)

They also changed me an early upgrade fee via debit card but didn't charge me on my bill which means I'm in credit, I have since requested this credit to be refunded to my bank account. Win win. Just negotiate with EE

I'd say buy the phone outright and go for a sim only deal :)

64Gb iPhone 6 £619
Three 600min/unlimited text/unlimited data plus 4Gb tethering £18 p/m

Over 24 months works out at £1051

Alternatively, Three want £99 upfront followed by £50 per month! (works out at £1299)

This is the best deal that I could find, and the one I eventually went for. The deal is only valid until the end of September and then the Sim increases to £20/month, an extra £48 over the course of the contract.

Considered purchasing the phone SIM-free from Apple with finance? BeatMaster's suggested plan along with finance works out around £100 cheaper than the contract IIRC, and it's not even 0% (when Apple will offer 0% finance again I don't know).

Purchasing on Apple finance or from GiffGaff works out cheapest. All of the networks are charging over the odds for the new iPhones, e.g. O2 have added up to £120 over RRP on to the 'Phone Plan' part of their Refresh tariffs. Blatant price gouging.

GiffGaff would be £50 upfront plus £26.06 for an iPhone 6 64GB. Then you add £10-£18 for a 'Goody Bag' of minutes, texts and data. Buying direct from Apple on finance works out a little more expensive - GiffGaff charge 9.7% APR on the handset loan, whereas Apple charge 14.9%. Still, Apple have them in stock and are still cheaper than the networks in most cases.

I'd honestly just buy the iPhone SIM-free and get a 1 month contract.

Some mobile carriers do 12 month sim only plans which tend to be cheaper than a 1 month rolling contract... You might want to look at this as realistically you'll have the contract for a year any way.

Indeed. Some people don't understand this.

Although, if you can find a CC with 0% for 18 months, would that work for you?

Yeah that probably would work it's just finding one I suppose, had a look on Apple and for 24 months finance which is basically a contract , including the sim only id be paying 45 a month for the phone with nothing up front , once you go through is there an option to put deposit down and pay less a month ?

Just emailed the guy I spoke to at EE last week as this deal is better than what I was offered. Would you be able to trust me your account mobile number if needed so he can check against your deal?

Best way is (normally) to buy outright from Apple and go sim only.

I picked up my iPhone 6 64gb from O2 this weekend gone however. £9.99 down for the phone and £48 per month for 24 months as an upgrading customer. Resulting in an £1,161.99 total cost.

iPhone 6 64gb is normally £619.00 from Apple, and the O2 sim only equivalent deal is £20 per month locked in for 12 months. The total cost of which is £1,099.00 over the term.

I'm essentially paying £62.99 for the benefit of not having to buy the iPhone outright.

Halifax do a 0% interest for 20 months credit card
Tesco do a 0% interest for 19 monthscredit card
Sainsburys do a 0% interest for 18 months credit card

Pick one :)

Well EE were useless. Have now found that Vodafone offer 20% discount for NHS (my missus works there) so would be £38pm and £79 upfront for a 64gb iPhone 6 at £1010 over the term. That's the best deal I've been offered so think I'll be moving network after 10years with EE :/

Hi mate. I'd rather not because I don't want them to release that they didn't charge me the early upgrade fee. However, if you go into an EE store with your NHS ID card, they'll give you 25% off.

Call a store and they'll confirm.

Tesco are doing 0% on iPhone 6's, eg £28 for the 6/64 and £17 for the sim so £45 a month with zero up front, 3,000 mins, 5,000 texts and 3GB of 4G.
