Hi

I'm doing a lot of motorway miles at the moment, so thinking a modern(ish) diesel would be more suitable than my poor 1.2L Clio!

Any suggestions for £3000? Could push to £4000 if there were significant reasons to justify spending the extra! Not overly fussed about looks/speed, just want something reliable to get me from A to B through the winter!

Suggestions please?

Thanks!

Not fussed about looks/speed? Want to save money?...well...

I picked up a Peugeot 307 1.6 hdi estate for peanuts.. coz you know its french and that.

Its had a ton of miles put on it now (up to 130k) and its been fine...not even an electrical fault to speak of. Between fill ups I it gets about 65mpg with a bit of city driving, but on long motorway runs I see 70mpg+.
