What about the ones operating under cover all the time in town centres? Can you spot them?

They're normally much easier to spot than they like to think!
We had one come onto one of our events in Moseley in Birmingham a few years ago and he was basically the stereotypical film undercover cop, boots, blue camo trousers, big bomber jacket, a peaked cap and a death scowl. We all called him from about 200m away.

They're also not the one's at risk as it is the officers in uniform that are more at risk, not the undercover police or Burnsy's Ninja officers.

Great news. Another piece of scum off the streets.

indeed! I think it's shame that our Coppers don't travel to and from work in their uniforms and show a bit of public support in that way. In Germany,Italy, the US and I'm sure many other place the police are in their uniforms and carry their firearm with them. Such a shame that doesn't happen here... we are not proud of our institutions, it seems. :o

Experience has shown time and again, that those with the real know don't say anything about these things and those that do are usually grasping at straws or tying to turn 20% of genuine insight into 100% with embellishment.

I've friends pretty much at or near the top of some forces, people I socialise with, drink beer with, attend sporting events with, party with and chew the fat with until the early hours. Some of them are within the police and central government and the global security tiers and some of them thought lead in counter/aniti terrorism and security globally. Some I've met along the way during business dealings, some I grew up with, some are social friends and some live close to home.

But do you now what, I have ZERO idea about what is going on, what they really do, who I should watch out for, what keeps them busy or any genuine insight I couldn't find on the internet. They are there in those positions because they are not the sort of people who embellish or chatter about things like this, it just doesn't happen to the likes of 'us' even those of us who are connected or who like the same beer. They are still normal boys and girls, still let their hair down and still have fun, have the same flaws, but there are boundaries and it is very obvious to you when you start to ask too many questions, so you move on, even when they are your very closet friends.

What I do know is that we get told what we need to get told when we need to be told it and that is it. I also know that stuff goes on that most police officers also know very little about because loose lips have and always will sink ships.

Plus it would cost a fortune to arm all the mainland police and train them to use said firearms. Who wants to pay for that?

It's doable. Other countries do and so can we.I don't mind paying for effective and good policing,it's one of the governments core responsibilities. Discussion for another thread though...

It costs millions to train and arm the PSNI every year. There's 7000 of them for the entire province. Greater Manchester has more than that alone. And London? There's nearly 50,000 in the Met.

ok... what's your point? It's still doable, but it will cost money.Fair enough. As I mentioned I'm willing to pay my extra share for an armed police force.

also, not everyone has to b trained to the level that our armed units are now... we don't need 100.000 coppers trained to SO19 level. Handgun training will be enough for the majority with additional rifle-training if needed.

Von, explain how I've probably been banned more than anyone on this forum.

Should stop his conspiracy theories :)

After what you said to me? You must be joking. The fact is, if you're more banned than anyone on this forum, why are you not permabanned? Who are you brown nosing? Like I said, people who've done less aren't here anymore. The mods once again have obviously been picking favourites with who they choose to and to not ban. One of which is you. At the end of the day OCUK is a company. This forum represents the company. And everyone should be held to the same level.

But that's not happening. You're proud of being the most banned member, that's still active. Moderators are feeding post reports back to you, which should only be for the moderation team. The cronyism within the moderation team is a joke.
