gigabyte z97x-soc force not powering down

Hi Guys

Just installed a new build (black friday shizzle)

When shutting the pc down the system isnt powering off, i have to physically switch it off from the mains (PSU)

Ive literally just put the pc together last night, havent installed all the drivers etc as i had to go to bed (do you think that might be it?)

I remember when this was the norm and I got my first pc that shut itself down. Friends were amazed lol.

Anyway, does it stick at the shutdown screen or does the screen go black but you can hear/see the pc is still on?

Are you using OC ignition ? This keeps all fans, pumps and power to the motherboard on when the system is powered down.

Might be using the OC thing, whats the point of that? do the fans turn off after a period of time or?

shall i disable or can i disable it from the bios? or?

It's just a thought, there is a row of buttons top of the board adjacent to the dimm slots, it will show you in the manual which one, it is a function to prevent cold bug or test water loops or just for show etc..:

When I briefly had a soc that button caused me no end of head scratching!
