Call of Duty World at War?

Thinking about giving it a buy on PC, use to really enjoy its online, just wondering if anyone would be able to say how the multilayer is? As in, enough people still playing it to get to play a game.

Id still say this was my favourite Cod although mw1 would be a very close 2nd.
Never played it on the pc though, is it on offer somewhere?

Always loved the map scale on this Cod for sniping, etc. All time fave has to be Cod 2 though.

should be a few decent servers up.

there was a online zombie mod server i used to play which was great fun not the normal nazi zombie mod.

Used to love War and Dom game modes but last time I looked it was pretty much just TDM and S&D servers.

Yup zomx it was called, a huge amount of fun, even being the zombie was often fun, providing it wasnt one of those maps where the hunters could hide in a completely safe place, last time I checked server was still up but that was a while back now.

I enjoyed this game, it was a lot different to COD4, the whole feel and gameplay was a lot different.

This, for me COD 2 was the best of the lot. closely followed by 4, then MW, which I thought was pretty good.

Definitely my favourite COD game. I don't have the steam version and the last time I played (sometime last weekend) there were only 3-4 servers with 10+ players in them.

If you're after a good alternative WW2 game, I can't recommend Red Orchestra 2/Rising Storm enough.

It never drops to a reasonable price on Steam, lowest I've ever seen it go for is £14.99.. When it hits the £5 barrier than I shall purchase.

Edit: Does anyone know if COD 1 and 2 has much of an online following? Wouldn't mind getting those if the price is right too.

I only ever had World at War for PS3. COD 1 & 2 on PC though, spent a lot of school nights playing scrimm's/pcw's.

Carentan/Toujane tac-nades will be forever engraved into my brain.

I would buy it for custom zombie maps, they are pretty awesome from what I have seen!

COD UO was the BEST Call of Duty game.. nothing comes close.

Just reinstalled COD2 loads of players still, but no sprint forgot about that

..what a pain getting it to run on 8.1
