Bluetooth Headphones for TV

Hello.

I purchased a Sony Bravia TV and would like to know if its possibly to run bluetooth headphones to it?

There is a USB port on it but I don't think its as simple as plugging a bluetooth usb adapter into it and it will pick up the headphones is it?

A standard Bluetooth dongle won't work. You'll need one specifically designed for the TV, which will be a Sony one. Assuming one does exist, it's not likely to be cheap. Prices for such things do seem to vary, but I have seen Sony charge £50 or so in the past for dongles.

will pretty much any wireless headphones work on the TV?

yes as long as your tv has audio out

either, you can get a convertor from one to the other

look on your TV and see what it has

and then look up some headphones

I do this two ways - one is to a set of wireless sony headphones, the other is to get a bluetooth transmitter with 3.5mm plugged in for hte audio and then also plugged into the usb for power, works fine within the lounge.

Would be nice if they built in bluetooth transmitters into the unit - not as it it would cost much.
