Motorola Moto G - new budget smartphone champion?

guys is there something wrong with the touch screen on my Moto G 2nd Gen 5 inch, i only had it delivered today.
almost out of every 10 taps, the screen doesn't register 1 tap. so sometime when i tap a object specially in clash of clans or boom beach, it failed to register. so i had to tap again.

Looks broke to me, missed loads of touches then. I'd do a factory reset. If that doesnt work send it back.

after a factory reset. still have the same problem.

Silly question, but you have cleaned the screen yes? I've noticed with my 1st generation MotoG that the touch response can get screwed up by the screen being dirty.

Converted to gpe lollipop 5.0.1 on my first gen moto g and its like a brand new phone, runs superb no lag at all.

Very happy with lollipop!

Price holding at £145 on Amazon...hoping it'll come down to the ~£115 level seen in December again soon.

any news on the lollipop update for the 2013 model, best I can see from google is that its been rolled out to the 2013 google play version, but no carriers apart from the India stress test
