Over the past few days

Took the damaged engine out:

Fabricated a manifold adapter for the new turbo, made a stainless downpipe and routed the external wastegate back into the downpipe:

Had a successful day of unseizing the height adjustment collars on the coilovers and raising the car by 10mm.

It took lots of swearing and bashed knuckles but got them free in the end, the collars are looking battered now though.

Shouldn't seize again though as ive coated the threads with copper grease, which is something i should have done when i fitted them and would have saved a whole lot of hassle.

Good work, they're incredibly frustrating when seized! I've seen coilover socks recently, seem like a good idea?

Finally got the project car moving, long way to go yet but pretty happy to have "driven" it all of 10ft :p

Plumbing in the rest of the new fuel pipe so we could use the cars actual fuel tank rather than an external one led to this:

Its a GTX3076R  it should go....:o

good spot!

What housing have you gone with? Stock mani is twin scroll on those isn't it? Seems single now with a single wastegate.

I've been looking keenly at these GTX turbos, getting really tired of the disco I have just not working properly. I hear you can get a 0.72AR which is just savage on a 2.0l.
