Hi guys,

Bit of a repeat of the Tokyo thread ironically.

I'm off to China on Saturday and have two days free in my plan as well as evenings. My hotel is in Central. Any ideas of stuff I could do and see close to central?

Also what I should look out for? And anything worth buying while I'm over there? Or trying?

Many thanks in advance

1st tip metro is king! get a card asap & a decent colored map
2nd Cabbies are terrible & a nightmare to flag one as 90% relay on apps. Uber instead

-Bund at sunset can be nice (more people may be talking photos you than view :p)
-Yu Yuan Gardens is nice for a stroll
-Shanghai World Financial Center views can be great on an non smoggy day so pick a clear skied day & go it is expensive like £20 (free if your birthday!) Or go to CLOUD 9 bar & pay for £12 cocktails for similar views
-Shanghai Museum is free & its Ok seen one Chinese museum seen them all jade & porcelain !
-French Concession loads nice bars & restaurants.

Play it by ear wind up somewhere random with locals drinking Baijiu good times insue!

I miss Shanghai :( Hoping to go back soon
