Just done a GT4 race around the Glen in the Ginetta, qualified 9th and finished 8th, action packed race which saw me get to the dizzy heights of 4th before hitting the barriers on turn 2/3. Was not disappointed with where I finished as the race was great fun (single player).

Just finished a 45 lap race at the Donn. Started first. The by the first corner I was second for pretty much 80% of the race. Was behind by over 10 seconds.

Then the first round of pitstops began. I managed to get first place back but then I to try my best to put in some decent lap times to build a gap. I was just about able to do then. Pulled into the pits and realised I hadn't put enough fuel in. By this point I had around a 20 second lead.

Pitted with around 6 or 7 laps to go and came out 6 seconds ahead of second place. Was tense lol.

Bloody love this game

Well i've been playing this game for over a week now on the PS4 and have to say it's one of the worst driving games i've ever played

Don't know if it's just that i'm using a pad but the handling is terrible as you never get the feeling your on the edge when in a corner the game just doesn't give you the feedback you need that you can give it a little more or to lift a little as most times if you don't crawl round a corner your going to be getting up close to the spectators

I know most tracks are just a lump of tarmac in the middle of a field but the graphics to my eyes are not the best and if I was playing on a Xbox 360 I would be disappointed

Fingers crossed in the next few updates things get better as for now the game will be sitting on a shelf

I'm surprised so many people are complaining about the controls being really bad. I'm playing on the XB1 version, and though it isn't an easy game and can be a little frustrating when you lose it (controls have stuck for me a couple of times and cold tryes are difficult to drive on for me), I'm not finding it too bad. I've raced a few quick races in some fast road cars and GT stuff and i'm competing for wins at 80%. I'm now racing the clio cup and after three rounds i'm leading the championship (just).

Obviously there are issues that are being worked on, But i've been pretty happy so far. Not sure if it's just a case of me not driving a lot of cars yet. I've not touched any of the setting yet other than AI difficulty either.

My only problem with the game so far is having the controller settings suitable enough that it isn't twitchy means catching oversteer is a problem. I am used to the GT3 cars that I can lap around AI 80 within a few laps but takes a lot more for me to become consistent at that speed.

Trying the zero to hero career goal and all I can say is I hate the go karts! Cannot get on with them and finding it difficult to score decent points. I am hoping I get an offer for superkarts straight away as they are a little better but still not great IMO. Hopefully that is only one season too so I can move on to Formula rookie and start enjoying the challenge.

I got this the other day on ps4 and am finally getting to grips with the handling, it's certainly a challenge but the only car I have found that seems to be completely broken handling and physics wise is the escort.
The contact physics, specifically the side on contact is totally broken and will usually result in a roll from even minor door to door contact, it seems to act like an open wheeler with tyre to tyre contact causing the car to jump up, I'm sure it's an easy fix but it's definatly broken.

The other thing that seems broken in my game is the tuning side of things... I can only seem to change tyre pressures, tyre type and front sway bar on any class of car I choose. Am I being a div or do I need to press a certain button to get access to all the options?

Found the default controls terrible with the DS4 controller. Using the following, as recommended by some one earlier in this thread, and it's much improved. I think Apply Soft Steering - On (which shows when turn advanced on) is probably the biggest help.

Controller Input Mode - 3 (Change first)

Steering Deadzone - 10
Steering Sensitivity - 30
Throttle Deadzone - 10
Throttle Sensitivity - 40
Brake Deadzone - 10
Brake Sensitivity - 30
Clutch Deadzone - 10
Clutch Sensitivity - 45
Speed Sensitivity - 65
Controller Filtering Sensitivity - 35
Force Feedback - 100
RPM/Gear Display Yes

Controller Input Mode - 3
Advanced - On
Apply Soft Steering - On
Apply Visual Filtering - Off
Apply Opposite Lock Help - Off

I picked up the XB1 version and have to say the controls are awful, i don't have a wheel yet so im on a pad but its pretty crap tbh. I tried a few settings from various places and it made it a little better but not much. In the karts also, you've got say a left hand a corner going into a right, you turn left the take the first corner, then turn right, but the steering just keeps you turning left? whats going on here?

I know its a simulation but not everyone has a wheel so they really should make it playable with a pad.
