Anyone got any comments on Vdara? How does it compare to Signature?

I stayed at Vdara last year, but it was my first time in Vegas so it's difficult to compare to anything else but I really enjoyed it. We had a fountain view room on one of the higher floors which was pretty awesome. The walkway to the Bellagio is very useful and the overall location in the centre of the strip is difficult to beat. Not having to walk through miles of casino is quite nice if you just want to get back to your room or if you just want to grab a coffee or something like that.

it's a lovely place but the whole CC complex is a pain to navigate through, having said that when you do hit the strip you are much more central than MGM

personally from Vdara I would take the free monorail and exit through Bellagio

Does the Platinum not suit you?

when in Sept are you there?

I went to LA, Vegas and SF in May with my wife. We flew London->LA->Vegas->SF->London for only £700 each. I had had enough of Vegas after 3 days. I couldn't believe the number of homeless there.

You should go to IHOP for breakfast.

Not really heard much about Platinum - whats good about it? It's about £50 more than Signature.

prob not worth £50 a night more, I normally pay $110-120 p.n. + tax (no resort fee)

1000 sq ft condo, living room, Jacuzzi and full kitchen

we have always seen it as good value but sounds like it's not for the nights you are there

You managed to fly over all the great bits :(

Wife wouldn't let me drive so we opted to fly. Caught subway and buses in LA, and SFO, it was clean and cheap compared to London.

Maybe next time i'll hire a car.

I think she wants taking to one of the outlet malls there. There's a couple that are in the same chain as the ones in Orlando we've been to, so I think one of them is a winner. I'm certain we'll end up in one of the ones you mentioned as well though!

That was the first show we booked :) Looks incredible. We've also got Michael Jackson One and Blue Man Group booked, and we're considering Penn and Teller for our last night there. The shows have worked out pretty expensive (we've got seats pretty much at the front of them) but I'm sure they're all worth it.

Absinthe is amazing but I would definitely recommend Penn & Teller. Great show & they hang out afterwards so you can get pictures with them :) Very down to earth guys.

I've always wanted to see Penn & Teller in Vegas, saw them at the Hammersmith last year and like you said, they hang out with the fans after the show. Took me about 45 mins to meet Penn but it was worth it. Such a friendly person.

liked that one too but SB has Lobster, caviar (cheaper stuff obv) , crab, filet mignon, unlimited Perrier Jouet champagne and loads more :)

The worst thing about Vegas is the number of places advertising Californian sparkling wine as champagne.:p

Obviously not in this case though!
