You get around 16900 with the clocks at 1110/500, where as i only get around 16400, just confusing.

I was only 8mhz off your core clock, and +50mhz on my memory, yet i'm scoring less than you.

Very interesting how OCing the mem makes the diff this time, is there any word on a GPU-Z update to read it properly?

This is where its confusing. Theoretically such high HBM bandwidth should mean lots of data can be processed simultenously so no need for faster clock speed but practically people are getting decent gains with a small bump in memory clock.

It's a synthetic test there could be all manner of reasons why scores vary, within 500 points is within reasonable margin if you look at the resulting FPS.

Perhaps it was designed with the rumoured 1.25GHz chips in mind but scaled back.

Not saying that you fiddled settings. Just that the images do not look identical and it could highlight something funny with nvidias drivers.

Is why a side by side comparison with PNG images of the same static scene should settle it.

It has happened before on both sides. Lowering visual quality in drivers to bolster performance.
i have always felt that nvidia cards have a lot softer image quality look than amd/ati cards
have anyone seen a nvidia and amd system running side by side on same model monitor?

I'd normally agree bud, but not 500 points

3DMark Score 13515
Graphics Score 16903
Physics Score 9904
Combined Score 6910
Graphics Test 79.21 fps
Graphics Test 68.54 fps
Physics Test 31.44 fps
Combined Test 32.14 fps

That's your results @1110/500

Mine

3DMark Score 14596
Graphics Score 16482
Physics Score 17968
Combined Score 6822
Graphics Test 77.1 fps
Graphics Test 66.94 fps
Physics Test 57.04 fps
Combined Test 31.73 fps

Those differences in the Graphics tests imo aren't down to margin of error.

The Gigabytes never turned up on time then.... I suppose the good thing about waiting until there finally in stock before buying is that we may have the voltage options available by then so we can see if it is a good overclocker or not. Seeing how long a driver update takes as well is interesting, plus what it actually changes.

Yes and Whyscotty is even higher. Have you even tried running it outside of Steam? We are both on Z97, possibly something is more preferable. Your combined score should be higher.
