Great ride by Dan Martin today - combativity prize well deserved.

Indeed, he's had a couple of super strong (Copyright T. Martin) rides so far this TdF and been pretty unlucky not to grab a stage. Still think it'll come for him.

Was pleased to see Tommy Voeckler in and around the business end yesterday too. He'd been pretty quiet so far having had some terrible luck with injury the last couple of years. The man's a legend -threw in some quality gurns as he reached the finish lines too.

TV Tommy is great value.

Dowsett's retired now. Down to 175 riders still in the mix.

Lots of riders in the breakaway today, possibly looking to make a dent in the king of the mountains classification. Rodriquez and Sylvain Chavanel are in there and they both have just 2 points so far, Bardet has one point, so if any of them were to get the stage win today they could make a massive climb up the rankings. Rodriguez is obviously the most likely to pull it off.

Commentary thought Quintana attacked there but apparently he's tucked in behind Froome. Don't know who attacked? Eurosport TV/audio is a bit messy, how's ITV?

ITV is good, no complaints for it at all over the tour so far!
No attacks out of the yellow jersey group. Rodriguez has broke Bardet and also caught and passed Kwiat with no answer from Kwiat.

Porte working off the front, Quintana not went yet. Surely it is coming.

Edit, contador attack

All of these guys are attacking to try and get at Sky and they are not biting what so ever. All these other top GC guys have expended that energy and got nothing from it, total fail.

Tejay and Froome are laughing hysterically in their heads right now, they've seen right through this.

Edit, I don't understand what Froome is doing.
