windows 10... working on it freeze

Hi guys, last night i attempted to update to win10 from win7 HP

but this morning it was still sat on 'working on it' screen. so, rebooted and tried again and still doing the same thing. grrr.

any ideas?

ok, seems to be a bug. if you run it via the windows update it seems to do something. this isnt a good omen if they cant even get the installer running right!

Can't say I had this issue. Although it wasn't via Windows Update. I had previously registered to upgrade and then forced through the update via a guide on another website.

Most people have been absolutely fine. Try and think about the possible software and hardware combinations that they have to try and ensure compatibility on and stop being so dramatic.

i did the same, using the icon in the task bar. just failed 3x to do anything. if i go in via windows update it worked fine and was all done in about 10mins.

but surely failing to launch isnt a great start no? not being melodramatic at all.

bah, nvidia drivers seems to be having issues now. quite happy i can do all this remotely using teamviewer though, managed to update home pc whilst at work
