So far this is my main rage thought I would see if anyone else had similar.

I have two network shares that I normally connect to.

1st is a WD MyWorldBook which is passwordless on local network
2nd is a Samba share on a Ubuntu server which is passworded.

I know both systems work as both computers that have been upgraded we're previously connected fine under windows 7 and Kodi can connect fine.

Since the upgrade I've not been able to reconnect. Having a good search up seems other have had this issue and there's a reg key

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters\AllowInsecureGuestAuth. Set the value to 1

Which may cure things, sadly not the case for me.

Other things to make sure of in addition to the powershell command:

1. Network mode should be "private" if Windows Firewall is turned on.

2. Enable network discovery

3. Check if you can access the servers via \\<ip address> as you may have a name resolution issue (could be rectified with points 1 and 2)

Are you using a Microsoft account to log in to windows? when I did I could no longer access any of my network shares, as soon as I went back to a local user account they started working again.
