Spec me a Laptop (Non Gaming)

As I am not "in the loop" with the Laptop side of the world, one of my friends has asked me what would be a good Laptop to buy, ideally around the £400-ish price mark

The laptop will not be used for gaming, general web browsing/Microsoft Office
Is there a Laptop that stands out more than the rest?

Do you want a good case?
Bigger storage or small SSD?
Better Cpu?
Battery life?

I dont think this matters to my friend. It will be a Laptop for sure, so no chance of getting a cheeky desktop. It will not be for any gaming, mainly just web browsing & Microsoft Office and little else. Has got the router delivered today, so will need to make a quick decision
