mATX-Tower

Gone back to using 1 system & needed a new case, considered buying 1 but decided to make 1.

It's a spacious HTPC/gaming mATX rig.

Measures 272W, 346D, 566H.

Supports a 280mm AIO water cooler in top, 2 140mm system fans, 2 120mm storage fans, covered long PSU, 306mm GPU length, 190mm CPU cooler height, 5 HDD 1 SSD, mass of cable management space for what should be a clean looking build, pretty basic but quality case.

Design.

Looks great, is all the tooling at your work place or home? I'm all for waffle me, but that because half my time is spent reading logs instead of doing them.

@Colin, At home, I think I waffle too much in my logs, :D trying to keep it all to the point now.

@fahreem, Thanks.

Another day of waiting for the materials.

+1 for high waffle content (it's the main way I learn things whilst drooling over pics)

Props for the ambition of building your own case, good luck matey!

:D Thanks Tyler.

Lol spent 10 mins googling that thinking it was some obscure but cool ref. It's also quite a common surname in some east Asian countries fyi...

:)

Done the mid & bottom panels & HDD cage, just need to make the 6 HDD trays now.

The HDD cage is 5 panels, 8 modding cubes & 24 cut, sanded, drilled & tapped square bars, pretty good day of modding today, unsure if I'll head back to it to do those final HDD trays today or not.

Woo! Another Waynio project! :D

:D

Done the HDD trays, but the mount holes was in wrong orientation so only way around it was either drill extra holes or just cut the little handles off & spin them around, I did the latter.

All to do now is countersink all the holes throughout the case, then clean up edges, clean it all & then apply the vinyl wrap & put it all together.

The HDD case mounts to the bottom panel.

First assemble to see how it all is.

It has a few imperfections but I think it'll do.

I'll dissemble over the next days to wrap it in vinyl.
