Has anyone had any experience with the quality of ASOS shoes/boots?

Not sure if it helps but have bought quite a lot of clothes from ASOS now and quality is very good for their generally reasonable prices. I have purchased 2 pairs of shoes, 1 x trainers and 1 x smart shoes and again both are good quality, 5-6 months old and still look good as new.

Historically I have bought more shoes from Dune but been a little hit and miss. 2 pairs were fine (inc Chelsea boots) but 1 pair scuffed up very quickly...

YMMV

Thanks. Some nice options there!

I have been looking at Red Wing Iron Rangers as well, which I can get for around £220.

If you are knowledgeable when it comes to footwear, how would you rate them? They do seem quite popular.

I really am keen on getting something that's going to last me, is functional and stylish. They won't be beaten too badly since I just want to walk around in them during winter and when the weather isn't great!

Take a look at Wolverine 1000 mile. Cost a small fortune but I couldn't find a well made, fashionable, rugged work boot elsewhere.

The Red Wing Iron Rangers you mentioned are very similar. My google-fu let me down at the time so I didn't know about those until after I bought the Wolverines. They would have done the job nicely.

If i were in your position I would consider some custom made boots from William Lennon (currently selling from their workboot sister company, whilst original website is rebuilt http://rufflander.co.uk/)

Is there such a thing as slim fit black jeans that don't fade, or at least, not for a long time, and ideally keep their shape too? If so, which brand is recommended? I've got two pairs of cheap £20 black jeans that had as good a cut and look as anything expensive but eventually faded and lost their shape a bit.

I've been turning to Wrangler lately for black jeans - most other companies are churning out increasingly lower quality with black jeans really suffering (including some fairly expensive brands).

Can any point me in the direction of some dark brown smart boots?

I bought these Levi Maine boots as in the photo, which are rather nice, just they can't seem to make a pair the same size (width of the boot, left has to have the laces so loose in comparison to the right, it looks l've odd shoes on!)
Supply seems to be a real problem - none available anywhere or exchange so back for refund.

I've some Dune Simon Stitch which are similar but the fit is quite narrow - really struggling to find anything like that which I'm really happy with though the Dunes are like 75% of the way there.

I am still sooo hovering over the button on this one.

Also looking at:

------------------------------

Feraud Premium 80% Italian Melton Wool Coat with Velvet Collar - £125 - http://www.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=5512183&CTAref=Saved+Items+Page

Feraud Premium 80% Wool Blend Coat with Italian Horn Buttons and Clean Raw Edge Finishing - £125 - http://www.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=5513161&CTAref=Saved+Items+Page

Noak Wool Dogtooth Overcoat In Skinny Fit - £140 - http://www.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=5719798&CTAref=Saved+Items+Page

The Feraud coats are pure quality and I'm very tempted, but the New Look is also great value.

I also bought this one last week when it was in the sale for £70 and it is beautiful... http://www.asos.com//Selected-Homme...ere-Overcoat/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=5910301

I don't normally spend much on single items but picked up this leather jacket from Ted Baker the other day and it's the ******.

It's taking all my will power not to pick this one up too:

Buy the same jacket twice? :p

I have no idea how Ted Baker became such a premium priced brand, I don't personally rate their designs or cut.

That is a nice leather jacket, though I personally wouldn't pay 360 quid for it.

Oops, edited with the correct jacket.

I don't tend to go by name tbh but I tried on a whole bunch of jackets and this was the one. In some cases the money's worth it - if it's the difference between feeling like you're wearing a nice jacket and a goddamn pimp daddy :)

Having watched legend with tom hardy and the new bond film I have noticed there seems to be a trend towards more dress style "pointy" collars that sit quite flat against the shirt in some of these films.

What is a good shirt company to look for such a shirt?

By the way chaps, Duggers of London have got a promotion on where all their shoes are £99. They're normally circa £200.

Fantastic quality shoes for the price - I own Andrew http://www.duggersoflondon.co.uk/products/andrew.html and Athol MK II http://www.duggersoflondon.co.uk/products/athol-mk-ii.html - both of which look far better in person than on the website.

Check them out - http://www.duggersoflondon.co.uk/

10% on the cashback sites too.

Have you got a picture?
