980ti, 2 monitors. Playing a game and watching a full screen video causes lag (FPS loss)

Does anyone know why this could be happening? I am using chrome to view my videos and when I full screen the video and play my games, games slow down sometimes even half the fps of what I was getting before. As soon as I switch to another tab or even minimise the browser, my games run at full speed again.

Really is bothering me, does anyone know what the problem could be? I have disabled background tasks that are not needed, I have enabled high performance in the power options and I have also disabled the DVR function in Windows 10.

So just to sum up, playing a game and watching a video at the same time causes my games to slow down.

Any help goes a long way, thank you.

Can you list the rest of your components?? Ram cpu mobo hdd/ssd etc and what games is happening on to give us a clearer picture. Have you tried any other browsers for playground videos?
