Evenin' All.

My 560ti has finally died (Artifacts :().

So I need a new Card and a PSU to run the new card as my current PSU is quite old and probably is punching above its weight nowadays. I would also be looking at a new case potentially. My Lian Li is also showing it's age.

Budgets:

Gcard: £100-£250
PSU: £80-£150
Case: £50-£150

Looking for the best bang for my buck, and would be nice to come under budget or as close to.

PS. Am I right in thinking the 2500k is still a really nice chip and I probably don't need to upgrade?

Current Spec:
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K @ 3.30GHz
RAM: 16GB Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey (4x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
Mobo: Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 (Socket 1155)
Gcard: MSI Frozr 2gb GTX 560 Ti

PSU: Corsair HX520w

3 x HDDs
Crucial MX100 256GB
Toshiba 1TB SATA 6GBs 32MB
Toshiba 1TB SATA 6GBs 32MB

First thing is to make sure the boards BIOS is upto date (as upto date as possible considering its age), otherwise it may not recognize a more modern GPU.

What PSU do you currently have?

Example,

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £406.05
(includes shipping: £13.20)

This case doesnt have any option for DVD drives, so if you want one of those or have one that you really must keep, then you might prefer this case - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/phan...ition-full-acrylic-side-window-ca-040-pt.html

Do you have an SSD? if not have I saved enough money for you to afford one such as - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cruc...lid-state-drive-ct240bx200ssd1-hd-060-cr.html

Correct, and if its not overclocked then you can spend £20-25 on a heatsink and get it to 4.5Ghz which they all do minimum.

If you're only going to have a single GPU, then 550W is fine, especially if it's a decent unit like the EVGA GS 550W.

The 390 will probably run hotter, but te 8GB VRAM is great value compared to the GTX970. If you don't plan on upgrading for a while, the I'd go with the 390.

I've got the Enthoo Pro and I love it. The Pro M is just a Midi version of it and should be just as good.

1xSSD and 2xHDD is nothing power-wise.

Even if you're 2500K is OC'd, the GS 550W should be fine. If you're paranoid about power consumption/overheads, then go with the G2 650W. Both are darn good PSUs (my dad has the G2 650W on my orders and my backup system has the GS 550W).
