Right here goes again,
Received my msi 390 in the post earlier this week and just sat down now to install,
Before I do I wanted to ask people's opinion on cooling my case....

here's what I've got in the way of fans to put in
2x cooler mater sickle flow fans
2x fractal design fans,
1x corsair fan which is for my corsair pump h55.
(Case is a fractal designs r3)

What config would be best to keep my case as cool as possible.

I'm going to run a few of the fans off a molex as I can't get hold of any fan extension cables until they turn up in the post.

My case is a fractal design r3

I've Heard this gpu runs hotter than a lady of the night at peak lol so always best to take precautions :)

I've got the same card with a Fractal Design R5. Two intake in the front,
one intake in the floor and a rear exhaust.
The card was running hot and load until I replaced the thermal paste,
which made more difference than changing fan layout etc would have.
Take a look at this thread for more details.

I did actually see that thread and read it when I was deciding on what card to buy,
Gonna see how hot it runs before I start taking it to bits,
Problem I've got is my case you can't remove the hd bays as it's the earlier model! I was thinking it might restrict the air flow?
Might just cut it out, what you got in the top or have you left them empty,
Was thinking two in the front for intake and two in the top(roof) for exhaust,
My rear is being used the my corsair

Two in the front for sure but would probably only need one in the top, it would be quieter that way. Can always add a second if need be. Maybe try a few different options and monitor temps to see what config works best.
