I was hoping you guys can spec an app where I can use the iPad Pro to draft floor plans whilst also using the Apple Pencil. My wife treated me to the iPad pro and pencil as birthday present, I have my own architectural design company so it'll come in handing whilst surveying and drafting rough floor plans ready to convert into AutoCAD etc.

I have used some floor plan apps like Roomscan and MagicPlan, they're alright but not perfect. Ideally I am after something where I can draw by hand on expanding page like AutoCad then convert into PDF.

Thanks in advance guys.

Why don't you check autocad itself?

Pro version is not free, but surely £80 for the pro+ is peanuts compared to all the other costs in your business? Like the ipad itself being almost 10 times that.

I've been trying out the free version over the weekend, works really well if you're editing DWG files but trying to draft a floor plan is a nightmare. There's no template windows, doors etc. The only way to input doors etc is to upload an existing DWG with those items and use the block feature. Completely silly of the developers not have these features in place if they're advertising ready to drawn plans.

Also tried a couple of another apps so far ProCad is the only contender.

Is there an app for drawing etc which has a borderless canvas?
