Hi all,

Looking to build a Skylake machine with 16GB RAM. Not especially bothered about overclocking, not in the short term anyway.

Planning to go for the i7-6700K on a Asus Maximus VIII Gene Micro-ATX board. Unsure what speed RAM is optimal for this, bearing in mind there's no requirement for overclocking headroom.

Could someone point me in the right direction, please?

Thanks!

If it helps in some way, I'm currently having problems with the Kingston memory you originally mentioned and that Maximus Gene VIII motherboard:

As yet though I don't know if it's me, the memory, or the motherboard, or indeed some combination of them :)

Sorry to hear you're having issues man, hope you get them sorted soon! Think I'll steer clear of the Asus boards for the time being.
