Agreed, I think the whole range is about £50 overpriced. The GTX 1080's about £100 overpriced.

My GTX 1080 cost me an arm and a leg and a bit of my soul.

That would not be so bad for you if the part of your soul you sold was the part that keeps making you buy more and more cards haha.

both cards are about £100 over priced.

what so many are forgetting is the 1070 is a replacement for a 970 gtx.
the 1080 is a replacement for the 980 gtx. forget performance that is the tier at what they should sit in.

the pricing for those tiers has been the same for many years.this time its been exploited.

the 970 gtx was at cheapest £250 decent models upto £300
the 980 gtx started at £399.decent models £450 ish.

so the 1070gtx maybe as quick as a 980ti or close to titan.
the 970 gtx was as quick as the old titan on launch.

nothing new has changed apart from greed.

the cards will drop in prices very quickly if the amd 480 is priced at what its said to be priced.the 1070 will drop probably £50 first month maybe £100 in first two 3 months if the 480 is priced right. if it isnt nvidia and retailers have you by the balls.

To put things in prospective you can buy the fastest single GPU card money can buy at £550 for a limited time. It is an EVGA card but most definitely not a 1080. I can not post the link as that would be classed as a competitor.

Isnt the 1080 the fastest single gpu money can buy?

I'm sat on my wallet for a month.

Ill carry on on playing F.E.A.R (modded) and Dragon Age on my gtx 970.

I nearly bought a 2nd hand 980Ti classified today for £360 but what is the point, its old tech and the 980ti classifieds were as ordinary as any other card.

..And that is the issue with Pascal also, there is no real overclocking headroom so why not by the best looking/cheapest card.
