Talk talk fibre medium slow/unreliable

My talk talk internet is poor in my new place, it was good in my last house with approx 35mb on fibre.

I have lan cable to Xbox, cloud drive and Sonos play.

My Sonos loses connection over a day or so, Sonos have blamed cable or router port.

My fibre speed is around 17mb on talk talk medium package.

My ping is Average: 142.927 ms

I have an old network switch I was thinking of trying as ports on router maybe faulty.

What would a decent reliable router cost ?

Any input is welcome as talk talk service is brain numbing.
