I think Toto's going to have some problems if he tries to implement team orders. In that same situation, Hamilton's not going to hold station, he's going to take the win, then say he won the race, so he was in the right and the team was wong. Toto then looks totally undermined. Who would Mercedes get rid of - the three (maybe four by the end of the year) world champion, or the no-result schoolboy with a history of blatant cheating and losing?

He was shown the onboard right there and then where it is clear Rosberg didn't even try and turn in, and all he says 'it was brake failure'. His driver intentionally tried to take his own teammate out and break both cars in the process. He should be furious with Rosberg but all he is doing is making excuses for him.

No he didn't, at that point he simply responded with a sheepish "yep"

Let's face it, to all the Rosberg bashers, what kind of fun would there be without a 'baddie' to spice things up? Anyone old enough to remember Dick Dastardly? 'In Wacky Races, Dastardly was one of the drivers who competed in each episode for first place, in a long and hazard-filled cross-country road rally. As his name implies, Dastardly aimed to win solely through cheating and trickery.' :D

Pirelli sent out a tweet saying debris caused the tire to disintegrate and then proceeded to remove the tweet lol.

Bunch of amateurs.

In public, and in front of Mercedes corporate, what else can he do? In private, things might be different, especially when the whole world is looking at what Nico did and Mercedes are getting their reputation tarnished.

God so much anger here, that was racing in my day when F1 was interesting, Hamilton came out on top so who cares Rosberg paid the price for his move and wrecked his race.

Anyone else think that Rosberg is afraid of Hamilton?

And as we all know...

Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to deliberately crashing into your teammate.

when was that then?, remember when MS tried it twice two year running. did you forget the back lash.

Or the epic controversy of Prost Senna collisions gifting the title one way or the other and the dodgy as hell, errm, was it the FIA president who had Senna DQ'd for using the run off track... which a half dozen other drivers used and weren't penalised for.

It has never been okay to knock another driver off and as far back as I can remember causing a collision get a lot of hate from the fans and a lot of stuff going on with punishments/penalties/DQs. Though also as back then, one team defends what they did with lies and the other team goes ape**** in the media to push for punishment. Like Prost walked straight over to talk to the president with the intention of talking him into DQ'ing Senna. Politics, lies, cheating have always been a part of it. Though more often than not it's drivers from different teams, and when it's drivers in the same team things become even more complex.
