Absolutely nothing wrong with it. My gran still tries to kiss me on the lips and i'm 32 lol. Typical social media trying to make anything into something it isnt. I', almost surprised the story wasn't saying the picture is porn because the kid is topless .

My grandad used to kiss his grandchildren goodbye on the lips and it was deemed fine by everyone. In fact, most of my family did when I was young. It was a bit horrible though at parties when old aunts and great aunts would come up with lipstick coated, jellied eel and gin soaked soggy lips and plant one right on the smacker.

The fact that this even poses a question to our society is a sign of how far we have fallen in the last couple of decades. I don't know any other Western country that would agonise over something like this, in fact most I know would shake their head in sad disbelief.

We are becoming a paranoid, hyper-politically correct, degenerate nation all at the same time.

I've no problem how other parents kiss their kids. I have stopped kissing my daughters on their lips as they are getting older, I give a hug or kiss them on their foreheads.

Unsurprisingly, Dr Reznick - author of The Power Of Your Child's Imagination - doesn't share Cheryl's opinions: 'A teenage boy is more aware of his sexuality than a child, so I wouldn't recommend a mother kissing him on the lips.

'Children thrive on being touched on their forehead, cheeks or hands. The lips are different because they have more nerve endings and are more sensitive to stimulation.
'People don't like to hear this but the lips are an erogenous zone and feel-good chemicals that are associated with sexual arousal - including serotonin and oxytocin - are released through lip-kissing.

Ergo, wrong and incestuous if you practice it.

I duspute anything that is put in the daily mail and any academic wiling to be related to that rag are probably from a tinpot university hoping to get some limelight to make money.

At least the red top press are honest enough to admit they dwell in the gutter, the Fail (and their readers) like to delude themselves otherwise.
