Man of Honour
It's that time again, it's time for an upgrade! I bought my last system over 5 years ago and while it's served me well, it's time I treated myself. This is my spec as it stands....
Asus GeForce GTX 480 1536MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with Far Cry 2
Crucial RealSSD C300 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (CTFDDAC128MAG-1G1)
Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - OEM
Asus P8P67 PRO Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard - (Sandybridge)
Corsair HX 850W ATX Modular SLI Compliant Power Supply (CMPSU-850HXUK)
GeIL 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz VALUE PLUS Dual Channel (GVP38GB1600C9DC)
Coolermaster CM-690 II Advanced Dominator Case - Black
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (WD1002FAEX)
Noctua NH-U12P SE2 Dual Fan Quiet CPU Cooler (Socket LGA1366/LGA1156/LGA1155/LGA775/AM2/AM2+/AM3)
Asus Xonar DG 5.1 PCI Sound Card with built in Headphone Amp - OEM
I'm thinking that out of all that, the only thing I'll be keeping will be the case and the PSU (and maybe the SDD as a secondary games drive).
Here is the system I'm thinking of getting...
My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,065.86
(includes shipping: £0.00)
Are there any glaring issues here? It's been a while since I bought new kit so I'm a little rusty. I'm assuming my 850W PSU will be enough to run all that.
Thoughts?
