Im loving mine can't get enough of it. It helps that the wife bought it me for Christmas. Anyone got any recommendations for a case?
Mac via Steam.Is that running bootcamp or the Mac version of Civ VI?
To get this thread back on track.
Had yet another play with the new MBP today in purple shirt world. The prices for the 8gb 265gb model weren't as outrageous as I remember.
The Surface Books were on a table opposite, and honestly they looked to be about 4 generations behind the new MBP in design. Seriously considering updating when they get Kaby Lake Iris pros.
That's all subjective matey, the touchscreen (if that's what you're into) is the only real upside...The Surface Book might look 4 generations behind but it's the better laptop.
Same or better performance for much less money.
Better screen.
Better keyboard.
MagSafe power.
Dongle-free.
And obviously;
Straightforward support for Windows 10.

That might be so, but until you can install macOS on it natively it's not going to work for FCPX user like myself. Even if I didn't then I'd install Linux on it. Really not a windows fan visual or functionally.
Add to that the size and weight and it's not going to be as good for the type of travelling I do either.

The new MBP keyboard is the nicest I've ever used, the push to usb-c and being able to power from either side (and from portable battery packs) is great and lastly, the MBP is a great W10 laptop, the Surface can't run OSX.
That last point is and always will be the ace in the hole regardless of how other specs match up... W10 is an unfinished mongrel of an OS - I tried it for 2 weeks straight to see if I could stomach it when looking to move to a Razer Blade... It was a no from me.
