Reinstalling , upgraded version of win 10 on new hdd

Hi there,

My laptop shipped with Win 8.1 that I upgraded to Win 10 using the free upgrade option.

The other day I bought myself a new SSD that I want to install Win 10 on but I do not have the Win 10 installation CD or an ISO.

Whats the easiest way to do a fresh install on my new SSD? and will I need a serial key for it? I do have the previous Win 8.1 serial key.

If you could link me to a tutorial or provide a step by step guide i would love ya

You can do a clean install of W10 and skip the stage where it asks for the key.

Once online W10 will activate from the hardware ID.

Download the USB tool to create a bootable USB stick or DVD

https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10

boot from the USB stick once done and your good to go, just follow on screen prompts during the install process
