It did feel big when i test drove it, but just one of those things you get used to.

try living with one,

seems tiny at times. stupid shaped boot is a nightmare to get suitcases into both the superb and e class are much bigger in terms of luggage and the superb slaps it down on leg room too.

quite surprised your fronts only last 20k if most of your driving is motorway? i'd have expected them to last way longer. is it a myth that its the spirited launches that ruin tyres and its actually the heat from driving fast?

heavy car hard driving tyre not known for extended life its a tough combo

Have those Rainsport's got good rim protectors on them - I have Dunlop Sport Maxx RT's on my 18" sport wheels and I keep kerbing rims - I have winter wheels on now and need new tyres on front alloys for next year.

don't ask me about rim protectors still managed to kerb my 2 front wheels (berk that i am)

they do offer some degree of protection but obviously not idiot proof

Ahh - no good for me then.

I have had Alligators on mine and they really do stop the damage to rims but downside is they have metal clips in them that dig into back of rim to hold them on - So now I have bubbles in paint/finish on alloys so they won't be replaced when new tyres get fitted.:o

another set of front tyres, 18k on the latest pair of rainsports. see how the bridgestones go as thats all my tyre guy had in stock unless I wanted to wait a few extra days, might try a set of super sports next time round and see how they compare for mileage.

still just plodding away with the miles no issues so far to report

You will have to let me know which tyres you find best all round. I am tempted to try the cross climates but don't know how they are wear wise.

It's shocking how fast taxi drivers put the milage on, I have just gone past 11k on mine now.

mileage has slowed down this year as I'm spending more and more time in the office,

need to get a couple of long hauls on to make up for it ;)

got my first problem with the Mondy though,

the grab handle in the boot is loose, shoddy ford build quality

What are the headlights like on your Mondeo?

I went for the standard projector units rather than the optional LED setup, tbh their pretty decent, although a set of HIDs lobbed into the projectors would make a world of difference,

I would stick a set of uprated bulbs in but I really don't fancy trying to change a bulb unless I have too, looks about an hours work to change a bulb on the mk5

Is it the cover on the handle, mine was loose but it clicked back in.
