I've taken a box of 10ish SFP modules through as hand luggage before which I expected to look very dodgy on an x-ray in my bag, but they didn't get a second look and I breezed through. Not entirely sure if that's a good or bad thing.

its northern ireland- they know how to spot a proper bomb.....
on a more serious note hold luggage should be fine, i once managed a 4kg block of cheese in hold baggage and they didn't even search it (god knows what that looked like on the scanner
