I always take this type of promotions as a bonus if you get it and not depend on it as really its the item that counts anything else is a good.

T&C of current promotion

  1. MSI is not responsible or liable for any technical, hardware, software, server, website, or other failures or damage of any kind to the extent that this prevents the participant from or otherwise obstructs him/her in participating in the Promotion. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

Biggest deal from this offer is the MSI 1070 Seahawk. It's currently on offer here for £379, then with this cashback offer you get £43 back, then if you sell the game code for £16 (seems to be the going price), you area essentially getting a brand new AIO watercooled 1070 for £320!

MSI are doing the cashback to shift the (high-end) mid-range graphics cards they have in stock, as they are currently producing Vega cards which will compete at this price point, so minimising their losses before the release. :)

We told MSI no! So they should not be including ourselves, simply we were absolutely felt MSI treated customers beyond terrible with cashback from last time taking over three months to pay and lack of communication.
As such we are not participating, we want our customers to have good experiences and MSI service was simply beyond a joke.

It's nice when you see stuff like this sticking up for his customers and giving the fingers to MSI rightfully so though

What has gone on between OcUK and MSI? Even if it takes 3 months, that is still better than nothing, which OcUK is offering with MSI cards.

Just had a read of that thread, wow, terrible customer service from MSI there!

An admirable stance there Gibbo.
Thanks for letting me know.
I think I'll hold on for Vega, along with a load of others.

It wasn't so much what happened between OcUK and MSI but between MSI and customers. Much of it was unfortunate force of circumstance but MSI could have handled it better.

Looking at shop stock and pricing leaving a gut feeling there's more to it than that, presuming due to the passive-aggressive negativity whenever MSI is mentioned over various threads lately, there must have been a bit of a stramash.

I can tell you that indeed the way MSI handle the requests of cashback promotions is a joke. I am personally in the process. So they are stated that first on the page of submitting the claim it will take two weeks..then after two weeks nothing happened, contacting them, and after around ten days someone using google translate responded the email was asking again same information wich i already submitted on their promotion page. After another week still no answer, contacted them again. Ofcourse another week pased and they finnally responded with the message : "Your MSI Cashback claim has now been validated and approved for payment. We will process the payment within 30 days of receipt of this email."
