hi guys,

I grabbed a EVGA GeForce 1080ti Founders the other day as part one of my upgrade to my slightly aging 5 year old GTX 680 machine, but now just need a new motherboard, CPU and RAM, and would like your advice/suggestions on what I've picked out below.

Worth noting now that there isn't any intention (certainly right now) to overclock this, so take that out the equation.

So far I'm looking at:

Intel i7-7700 4.2GHz Kaby Lake - LGA1151

Gigabyte GA-Z270XP-SLI Z270 Motherboard

Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-24000C15 3000Mhz RAM
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cors...hannel-kit-black-cmk16gx4m2b30-my-445-cs.html

As I say, I don't plan on overclocking so would rather save on cash (without compromising) than pay extra for something that is clockable.

Happy to hear any suggestions or advice on this.

Btw, its to go with (obv) the 1080ti, but also a seasonic 620W PSU and a crucial 256gb SSD ... both of which will be upgraded in the future.

Thanks

The intel bundle you put together is good and should have no problems working together.

The link you posted above is for the 7700k which is overclockable along with the motherboard which will have an auto overclcoking feature if you decide to take advantage of it. Some people are against software overclking but for people who want ease it a useful tool.
