You've got a q6600 - an absolute classic/gem of a CPU!

It's still worth money and will clock - especially if it's g0.

You'll have to buy a second hand board from ebay - it's a dead socket/not made anymore.

But I have no idea what I'm locking at really
Are you looking for a board for the q6600 or are you looking for a better CPU/MoBo combo?

What do you hope to use the computer for - apps use, apps with light gaming or mainly gaming and if so what type of games?

Hey sean

Well to give you an idea of prices in the MM forum (you need 1000 posts) - the following bundle sold for £140 (great price):

i5 3570k
Asus P8Z77-V LX
8GB Ballistix Tactical DDR3-1866 (2x4GB)

All you would need then is a semi decent gfx card and a PSU to power it and you could play all your games - with a 'quality' GFX card you could play everything on ULTRA.
