Hi there

Well I've being promising something in the last few days, due to the mining craze and now because Russian and Chinese governments are now backing this craze, it means all stocks of 1080 and below and all the AMD series has being totally wiped of the face of the planet.

So I've being working closely with NVIDIA (AMD as well, but there treats coming later) to sort something so gamers can still get cards easily and at the regular prices and not the insanely inflated prices cards are currently being sold out in an attempt to slow demand, and yes of course to make more profit.

As such now all 1060 and 1070 are a maximum of 2 per customer and certain SKU's have discount codes with no FREE shipping, basis being to prevent miners from buying.

So as you can see a 6G 1060 at £240 inc, 1070 at £419.99 and 1080 at £499 for premium brands is prices back to where they normally sit. Unfortunately the lesser brands were the brands that first got hit by miners before anyone had time to react and were completely cleared out and over-sold in their thousands.

Those wanting AMD deals, we are working on putting RX 580's and RX 570's to one side, we've got several thousand in next week but they are all pre-sold, but we are going to move some to one side and make them available to gamers only, focusing on Sapphire and Asus. :)

Its not the best situation, but trying to find smart ways around keeping product available for the genuine gamer who just wants to game and get a decent card at a good price.

Thanks for doing this - it's the hallmark of an excellent company.

I tried adding the code "Zot1070" to my basket with the Zotac 1070 and the price didn't match the £419.99 mentioned. It came to £449.99 instead. Which is correct?

Cheers!

Ah I asked for fixed prices so I could ramp prices higher online to put miners off but seems that is not possible and only a lump sum discount was possible. I shall ammend online prices so they should get down to the prices in forum post. :)

And do forums members who get free shipping qualify for Sunday delivery? It says "Order within 21 hours for delivery on Sunday, 25th June"

Cheers

If website says so then yes it should be the case, forum members FREE delivery should also still work. However if some of you members are miners and we see repeat orders we will ban your account, so please don't be greedy and try to ruin it for those who want to buy to actually game. :)

not sure if best to post here on a new thread, but here goes Gibbo you maybe able to help/advise

Been wanting to get an RX480 for quite some time, hoping for VEGA to come out then the 480s to drop in price, but now the miners have got hold of them, they are now double the price, so at the present time, i was looking at buying an R9 290 , trying to get one around the £100 mark.

now looking at the cost of (inc. second hand) a GTX 1070 noticed they are CHEAPER to buy than the 480 and 580

now im not really sure what to do, although im in no real need for a decent card yet, need to buy some newer games to play, but i have a 1080p 144HZ (AMD) monitor now with a skylake i5 CPU

are the 1070s worth the extra £200 over a 290 for example?
advice?

RX 480 is EOL, RX 580 replaced! 1070 is a much better card for gaming and the one in the deal in the OP with discount code is a good buy as the G1 is our best selling 1070 I believe, Gaming X our best selling 1080. :)
Or if you can stretch to a 1080 at £499 !

How long are these offers going go be valid for?
Also, it says max 2 per customer but the website only allows one code per order so we are ok to put through 2 orders and use the same code twice?

Can I ask a question about the Zotac Mini 1060 here?

How well does this single fan card cope with heat, i.e. does it stay on a lot, and is it reasonably quiet? PC is located in our living room (quite hot, little ventilation) and just mildly concerned over noise/heat issues. I'm prepared to wait for the dual fan version to come back in stock if it runs significantly cooler and quieter.

Edit: just seen the dual one is in stock, but would still like to save some money!

Edit 2: NVM, ordered the mini!

should work fine temp wise, noise would be my issue. one thing i like about the MSI cards is the cooling system, shame no 1060/1070 from them.
