AMD RX Vega Pricing "NOT JUST FOR LAUNCH"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZL15k3KXDw

If you listen to his video, he allures to the $100 rebate AMD give retailers to hit the SEP. This is the exact rebate AMD was giving us to hit SEP, but it was capped, the unit amount AMD had capped us at sold out within minutes on 64. This would also of being the case for other AMD retail partners around the world, unfortunately those caps were simply too low for the demand the product had, hence prices shooting up within minutes because without that support they would make a huge loss.

On 56 they made this cap much bigger.
They have also now extended this cap on the 64 part as well.

It is a shame that clarity around this seems foggy, but what I stated from day one was and still is correct. :)

Hi there

As I allured to last week, that plenty of VEGA 56 and 64 part would arrive this week in volume, well as suggested it has come true.

Also the rebate AMD are offering that allows us to hit SEP without making a loss has being extended on the 64 part and our cap on the 56 part has not being reached. Also with what AMD has being telling press maybe the rebates will continue without caps, fingers crossed though yet unknown.

Anyway, product is in stock on following lines:

Why are the versions with the "free games" over £100 more?
Even if you were to buy the games separate it wouldn't come to anywhere near the £100 extra or am i missing something?

Because AMD is giving retailers a discount to sell the cheapest ones at that price and this is being done to meet the launch price claim. The normal price it will be sold at is much higher.

To make a more accessible example, relate to supermarket offers where they sell items lower than the usual price, it is down to them having a deal with the supplier that for X amount they get them cheaper and can therefore sell them cheaper.

It has no impact on the regular price.

The packs give you and additional discount (at Retailer's discretion) of £100 off a Freesync Samsung monitor and $100 (not sure what it is in pounds, probably about £50) off an AMD 1800x/high-end Motherboard. If you're in the market for both of the above then it's potentially worth it, otherwise go standalone

Wrong. In the UK it's just the games.
