Loved it at the beginning opening first level. Seems to of dropped off now and i cant be bothered with the janky poor voice overs. But hearing there is some better stuff i might try again.

Am I correct in assuming this is open world? The idea of it being non-linear is very intriguing!

It isnt as open world as it first seems and it gets less so as you go through the game. It is more open worldy than the first game but never quite what I would describe as open world. Its more sort of semi-open world early on then becoming linear again after that.

Did anyone know about this?

To flip The Evil Within 2 into first-person mode on PC you will need enable the in-game console.

You do this by creating a shortcut and adding “+com_allowconsole 1”. Then start the game from the shortcut and bring up the console while in-game by pressing the insert key. Next type “pl_FPS 1” which will switch the game to a first-person mode.

Good of them to patch but can honestly say the base game was very solid technically for me. PC appears to have sold around 144,000 copies on Steam so far which makes it the lead platform sales wise as both consoles sold poorly! Shame PC is not yet (if ever) getting the HDR patch PS4 Pro got though.

Chapter 15 and 25 hours. Restricting myself to just 1 hour of play each night as I really don't want it to end. I know I'm going to be gutted when it's finished. This is definitely my favourite type of game but there are so few of them around! Was initially worried that playing it on normal difficulty would have given me too much ammo but I think they got the balance just right on that regard. Same can't be said for herbs and medkits - always have loads of those but it takes nothing away from the experience. Here's hoping for some decent DLC and a third game eventually...
