A nice PSU, and a GPU. The rest, maybe a new case for a new look.

Or I'd sell the entire unit (£500?, maybe less for a quick sale), use the money to do a full 8700K upgrade (£1500, £2000 budget).

Maybe too late for that though.

and a 600w-ish psu and you're set to go
(your 500w psu may just about cut it - the total power draw under load would be about 400w-ish - but with psu degradation over time, may just be safer to get a new psu)

Do the fans work if they are plugged into the motherboard? Could be the fan controller on the case is not working.

If it is the fan controller, Corsair may still send you a replacement. (Or just keep running them off the motherboard.)
