Longest usable Molex 4pin ?.

Hi,

I am building an external water cooling box to take the heat away from the pc and out from under the desk.

For power I am thinking of putting a 2 mtr extention cable from the 4 pin Molex power PSU connector to to the table top box.

Any issues with max distance eta ?.

Also, anyone know of max can cable lent. I need to get the pumps tach own headers back to the cup can header in the main case.

I dont think it will be an issue, im sure i had 2x 1m extension leads plugged into a pci riser slot adaptor then into the PSU for some lights and worked fine

It's not a problem. I made 2x 2.5m extensions and have had no problems with either. Both are for my pumps too.

Use big enough cross section conductor and you could have it go to neighbour and back without significant voltage loss...
It's additional resistance which limits length.

I use a cheap second hand PSU to power my external water works. Are you keeping it all in the same room?
