I like the leap from stuff a long the lines of the proposed "hidden variables" being exploited for computational reasons to demons being brought back to our planet to the sudden jump to the Mandela effect which would be irrelevant if things were coming to our dimension.

They aren't true quantum computers, full stop. IBM currently have the record of having the most qubits in a prototype "processor" with 50, but this is only stable for a very short period of time due to the difficulty in preserving the special conditions required for operations. They have a 20 qubit system which can stay operational for 90 microseconds. Often the systems have to be kept at extremely low temperatures to help preserve their state.

Any claim such as Dwave's of having a "1000 qubit" processor is farcical. A genuine 50 qubit quantum processor is thought to be on par with the fastest supercomputers available today, and adding qubits would increase processing power exponentially. A real 1000-qubit processor would probably easily be faster than all computing resources on the planet combined. It's also still a long way off!

The only demon that will come from AI is what on earth are people going to do once AI powered bots and such take all the jobs. Will employment be a thing of history? Are the bots and such going to be regarded as slaves? What if they decide to reverse roles.
