1981 Austin Allegro 1.3 HL. I got it in 1990 so wasn't that old but was quite the banger. It had plenty of rust problems, sills, floor, doors, boot.
Had it for quite a few years before the exhaust system fell off.
'Upgraded' to a Mini Metro 1.0L.
Had one of these as my second car in 1982 (1975 model) purchased from another Northampton backstreet dealer after demise of the Escort (as mentioned earlier). Quite the most awful car I ever owned - spent more on repairs than the original purchase price at a time of my life I could ill afford those sort of costs. Had a new clutch/flywheel and fuel tank which had rusted through, amongst other things. The last car I ever purchased from a dodgy dealer...
Every thing makes it to the newspaper over here.....Ouch! Why did it make the newspaper? Was someone killed?

No one was killed...But was Lucky as there was no seat belt law back then..
Around about the time the Inbetweeners became popular iirc. Coincidence? I think not.I had a 1996 Fiat Cinquecento with an 899cc engine and 39bhp. Bought it for £200 when I was learning to drive in 2005, sold it for £200 a year or so later. Did me proud, that thing. Looks like it died sometime in 2012
