Where is Stop Funding Hate when you need them?

The BBC should go one further and make only white people pay the licence fee, I'd feel really appreciated then.

Mods; yeah edits.

Mathematically - if you have a population distribution of race/creed/background then surely a nondiscrimatry employee mix would look like that too?

A scheme to get minorities employed advertises to minorities. Well I never. Next you will be saying only teachers can apply to teaching jobs.

What if its a scheme to get disabled people jobs?

Are you going to be upset about that too?

Yes it's discrimination, or don't you understand the meaning of that particular word?

National Black Police Association
United Kingdom,. Can you imagine
National white Police Association
United Kingdom being allowed to form?

What would this white police association do? What issues do white police officers face for which they need support?

So there are fewer minorities in those particular jobs compared with white people? Gosh it's almost as if they are minorities!
Are there disproportionately fewer in an organisation that is chartered to be representative of the population? Gosh, it’s almost as if you have to think about these things for more than two seconds!

The 'non-white' might be an issue if looking for minorities as there are white minorities in the UK, unless they already have a representative % of Polish etc

What target are they aiming for same % employed as uk population stats or by local population stats, cos in some areas that would be over 50%

Does anyone think that the BBC doesn’t have a diversity problem? Its staff are overwhelming white, middle-class, centre-left, “metropolitan elite” types.

That doesn't make racial discrimination acceptable.

It's not racism, it's a scheme they've run for years as they are meant to try and represent the general public, and they've found that there are areas where they are lacking in that representation so take extra steps in those areas to try and raise awareness of the opportunities to enter the business.
There are groups where people don't get encouraged to even try and get into certain industries, or are told they're not good enough (for no reason), or they can't find the information on things like training schemes because their school has no one with the experience/knowledge of such things and it's an unusual profession.
It is racial discrimination even if you agree with it. Most people who discriminated throughout history thought it was okay too.

You wouldn't even be allowed to have that organisation, why do they choose to segregate themselves? A more inclusive organisation surely would help dispel some of the issues they are concerned with. Or is it a chance to use their difference to leverage some power and influence over their colleagues ?

Who wouldn’t “allow” you to have such an organisation? Besides, the whole is that for years the entire police force has been the “White police association”.

But anyway, that’s not the question I asked. What issues facing white police officers would a white police association offer support for?
