Hi all,

After a new TV, as the blacks on ours are just terrible.

I believe I'd need a 49", I'll have to double check ours when I get home as it's either a 42" currently or 46" or something....

Essentially, not fussed about 4K as I have nothing that can play it anyway, so I'd rather buy a better 1080P TV than a sub-standard 4k TV.

I would like:
-More than one HDMI socket
-It will need RGB to connect the Wii
-USB
-Having built in WiFi for any Apps would be handy

So, what can people think of? I've seen loads about, but no idea whats what in all honesty.

The size is negotiable, so if theres a stonker that is under 49" then I'm all ears too :)

According to the guys over at AV Forums.
If you're in the 49" - 50" area then these would all be classed as good budget models:

Samsung UE49M55xx - 49" - £400 range
Philips 50PUS6262 - 50" - £480 range
Panasonic TX-50EX700B - 50" - £550 range

I have the Panasonic TX-40EX700B - 40" - and would highly recommend it!

Has all the things you want: VA panel (deep blacks for LCD), HDR and 4K! Plus supports all the streaming apps (iPlayer, ITV, 4, 5, amazon, netflix and youtube)

Cheers for the suggestions :)

If you're worried about black levels just get some luminoodle LED strip bias lighting for the rear, it works incredibly well :)

It's something I've considered just haven't implemented...

Nice one, I'll look up all three and compare
