Pretty much this.

I think the problem stems from people doing pointless courses at university and expecting to be paid top £ for say a liberal arts degree.

Most people who shout the loudest are often failures who would rather blame society than themselves.

People can be anything they want providing they put in the hours and work.
Yes. People with self determination, drive and initiative want society to be free for the hardest/smartest working, because they thrive under those conditions. People who can't compete want society to be brought down to a level where they can, or where no one can compete on their advantages.

WHAT?
Seriously, what are you on (about)?
Did you mistakenly post in the wrong thread?

Your suggestion is almost as disturbed as some Paranoiac's suggestion that it is all down to the League of Radical Marxists.

If they really wanted to, they should have a couple of Chippendale type guys at women's tournaments then see how long it takes for guys to complain.

'Grid girls' will no longer be used by Formula 1 from the start of the 2018 World Championship season.

Sean Bratches, managing director of commercial operations, said the change would be made "so as to be more in tune with our vision for this great sport. While the practice of employing grid girls has been a staple of Formula 1 grands prix for decades, we feel this custom does not resonate with our brand values and clearly is at odds with modern day societal norms, We don't believe the practice is appropriate or relevant to Formula 1 and its fans, old and new, across the world."

I was listening to TalkSport the other night and they had quite a few promo girls phone in. They all said they enjoyed the work and didn't have a problem doing it. They said it was easy money and some were using it to pay their way through uni. It seems a bit stupid stopping it when the actual people doing it don't have a problem doing it!

Yes..... I am totally making it up that there is a link between Marxist theory and the objection to women consensually being allowed to use there appearance solely or primarily for the purpose of financial gain as it 'objectifies' them and all other women

/sarcasm

Oh what's this.... There is actually a large body of theory and writing by Marxists on this very point?

The issues—sexist images, the impact of porn, the commodification of women’s bodies

Open your eyes these changes are not being made at the behest of the majority of the fans.

In December, BBC Sport carried out a vote on whether 'grid girls' should be part of Formula 1, with 60% saying that they should be.

They are increasing the result of the often violent and sometimes even self declared communist political agitators.....

Nothing to lose but your chains.... Straight from the Communist manifesto (John Mcdonnell would be proud) with the chant unironically lead by woman whoose Somali family had already had to flee the chaos and horrors caused by a communist regime!

PC correctness gone mad again banning the walk on girls at the start of a darts match.

Surely the time must be coming where every offending word on TV will be beeped out and every advert will be of a mixed race couple with a disabled kid to cover all bases as not to upset anybody.

The way it's going the next generation in a 100 years time are just going to be sanitized zombies, or maybe that's what the illuminati want...

Out of interest. Has anyone (a group) actually come out and requested the removal of these women?

I really feel as though the majority of the public are being misrepresented by the media.

I completely get that there will be groups of people who dislike this. And as a result find it offensive. That's all good and well. However im sure you can find the same number of people (if not more) who don't have and issue with it....

As with many things these days anything that is deemed offensive or implied get's removed.

It's a disconnect between high level management in large business and a fringe group of idiots who spend all day screeching about non-issues because their life is too comfy or mental health disorders.

Not the same group of people moaning though was it....

In the 'grid boys' case it was actually people directly involved in the sport joking about whether there was a point to them...

As opposed to broadcasters pre emptively applying pressure to a sports governing body as the broadcasters fear backlash from people not at all involved in said sport.....
