Our house had this alarm installed when we moved in. I have the master code but to change a lot of settings an installer code is required.
The previous owners have no idea what it is and a google search has proved fruit less on a system reset work around. Any one on here got any suggestions? Default code doesn't work either.

find pdf manuals via one of the security forums, you can post there to confirm hard reset procedure and default installer code, but they typically reset installer code anyway when the alarm is under a maintenance contract.
(for me had to open control box and follow sequence with dip switches, both codes unknown) otherwise call out for $$$.

if you don't know the installer code I am not sure you can supress all types of alarm scenario -- so maybe a liability

Can you not found out who the installer was?

99% of the time they use the same installer codes on all their installations. So they should be able to help.

Hi, did you find a way to reset this alarm?
I have just moved into a house with the same alarm system, and the prevouis owner does not know the installer password either. I have tried the default installer password "1111" but it does not work.

Please advice

Try

To clear user codes:
1. From the Programming menu, select Initialize, Clear Users [973]

This should reset all user codes and installer codes back to original
