im in a position to upgrade my gaming laptop but I just cannot choose! I’m looking for either 1060/1070, with a budget of £1500.

Been tempted by the ASUS ROG STRIX GL502VS or the ASUS ROG Strix GL703VM But there are so much variations even within
These 2 models! But I’ve enjoyed my MSI but these seem to by over budget for GPU’s

HELP!

The graphic card is abit below the ones you have stated but this comes £600 under budget.

DellInspiron 15-7000 Gaming Series, Intel® Core™ I7-7700HQ, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB HDD & 128GB SSD, 15.6 Inch Full HD Laptop With 4GB NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti Graphics

Looks pretty good for the price, was after something beefier as I like to play a lot of AAA games on my desktop, then carry on with them when I work away but my current laptop isn’t much use.
Like I play steep which uses 3.5-4gb of vram, I wouldn’t want to stretch it from the get go

i think you can get the new Insiron 15 7000 within budget with a new Max Q 1060, I have the exact 7000 gaming spec sanaxe mentions above with the 1050TI which my wifes uses to game on and it's a great laptop.

I’ve had a quick look but I think 1050ti is the highest spec for that laptop but I will look into it more today, looks good though good price!

ASUS FX503VM-DM093T Gaming Laptop £969.97

  • Intel Core i7-7700HQ Quad Core Processor
  • 15.6" Full HD Screen
  • Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64-bit
  • 8GB DDR4 RAM
  • 128GB SSD + 1000GB HDD
  • Dedicated GeForce GTX 1060 6GB Graphics

This is also nice close to the ones I was looking at do you think 8gb would be suitable for gaming nowadays? if there was a 16gb edition that would be better, also a bit of future proofing! I’ll have to look as well.

The gaming 7000 with a 1060 is on the dell uk site, it didn't used to be available but it seems like its a new SKU with a Max Q 1060. Also at the top end of your budget you can currently pickup the alienware 15 with a 1070 with a 120ghz g sync panel only downside is it comes with 8gb ram which would be fine for most gaming i think but you could always add a bit more later if you find its not enough (Alienware also comes with free version of Forza 7 if thats a bonus for you).

Another vote for the Inspiron 7577 here. I think it’s around £1,300 on Dell’s site but they always have offers. Last time I checked they were doing £150 off for Mother’s Day if that helps at all. At that price point I think the Dell is the best combination of build quality, customer service and value for money.

Like others have said you may be able to get a 1070 in your budget, I would probably stick with Alienware/Dell for the customer support and build quality. There’s big savings to be had in refurbished models through the Dell Outlet. Based on the thread here and my own experiences I wouldn’t touch MSI with a barge pole if you were considering them.

Not sure if it’s still on offer but I know there was the HP Omen with a GTX 1060 for around £999 on John Lewis.

I’ve been looking for a while and te dell 7000 does look prett good seems to fit all my needs and in price range is the 7577 the same as the 7000 as in model wise? Th one I’ve found that I will link below look a bit different, like the screen is not fitted fully along the body but looks nice. Couldn’t see any deal on dell it was comin in at 1450 after te 20% was added at checkout, some links to help me would be helpful if anyone feels happy enough to help:D
If it’s aloud! If not please remove!

The same laptop from Dell directly is £1,199 if you use the code MUM150 but for £1,300 on the Dell outlet at the moment there’s a refurb Alienware 17 R4 (that’s the latest model) with a GTX 1070, 16GB RAM, i7 7820HK (that’s the overclockable one) and a 1440p 120Hz panel.

That’s the one I’d go for definitely out of the two. I know Alienware used to be a little bit of a joke but since the Dell acquisition they’ve been making some fantastic laptops at some really good competitive prices. The build quality on the 17 is amazing, the thing is a tank, thermals are great and that screen is a perfect match for the 1070. Look up some reviews if you fancy but imo for that price it’s a no brainer.
