My cpu sits idle at anywhere between 50-80 degrees. I have re-applied thermal paste, cleaned out the radiator and bought new fans but to no avail. I believe the problem is with my Corsair hydro h100i. Im new to pc building so any tips on how to diagnose a faulty cooler/how to fix it would be much appreciated!

When the PC is running, can you hold the tubes near the main head/CPU and feel any vibrations? Sounds like the pump might have, or is in the process of failing?

Are there any leaks anywhere?

Is it worth going through this process? Im not too familiar with assembling and disassembling pc parts and this looks to be fairly risky, is it worth just investing in a normal fan + heatsink?

Unplug your fans, do you hear the pump? In the BIOS usually you can see an RPM but not on all boards, should have the pump in CPU OPT or CPU.

If it’s been working fine for 4 years would seem like the pump has failed... Especially if the paste has good contact when you removed it?
