Simple answer: No, I wouldn't be embarrassed.

Answer with more depth: While psychology isn't as precise and well understood as other medical specialities, it is a medical speciality. When I had a medical issue with a testicle, I saw a urologist. When I had a medical issue with my liver, I saw a gastro-enterologist. When I needed to be deeply unconscious for an operation, that was handled by an anaesthetist. When I had a medical issue with my mind, I saw a psychologist. Etc. Same general idea, different specialities. Nobody can specialise in every aspect of medicine, so different aspects of medicine need different specialists. I'm not embarrassed by seeing any medical specialist for any medical reason.
