Hi,

I am looking for advice on my next upgrades, I want to prioritise part by part as and when I have the spare cash. Me and my partner both use the computer for internet browsing, work, research etc. and I also use it for gaming and as a home media server. For games I play CS:GO and Battlefield etc. but I'd also like to be able to play the latest titles on High/Ultra with a decent frame rate. If possible, I'd love to game on a 144Hz monitor with a decent frame rate!

What I've got at the moment:

Processor: Intel Core i7 920 overclocked to 3.6GHz
Motherboard: Asus P6T Deluxe
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon HD 7950 3GB clock speed overclocked to 1150MHz and memory overclocked to 1450MHz
Memory: 16GB DDR3 2800MHz
PSU: EVGA Supernova 750W G2
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 412 (fan hanging off due to broken clip)
SSD: 1 x 120 GB (OS) + 1 x 240 GB (games I'm playing at the time)
HDD: 2 x WD 1TB Blue (RAID 1) + 2 x WD 1TB Black (storage)
Case: Fractal Define R5
Fans: 3 x be quiet! Silent Wings 2
OS: Windows 10 Professional 64-bit

I was thinking about the following priorisation order:

1 - GTX 1060 / Radeon 570 / Radeon 580 (I would hunt around in the sales for a sizable discount)
2 - AIO CPU cooler like the be quiet! Silent Loop 280mm (in an attempt to crank my CPU up to 4.0 Ghz)
3 - Replace the motherboard, CPU and memory all in one go with a budget of around £500-600 (swaying towards Intel but would consider AMD, again I would hunt around in the sales)
4 - 144Hz monitor

What I'm unsure of is:

- Should I upgrade my GPU next?
- Will I be stuck at 1080p or would I be able to move to 1440p?
- Could I make use of a 144Hz monitor following the upgrades?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Dan
